OUR STORY
My name is James Martin, founder of Base Enterprise. I started 30 years ago as a DJ then got noticed on my performing aspect so I tried my hand in acting. I was DJ’ing and learning how to be an impersonator, started out as different comedic impersonators then focused on The Blues Brothers This gave me a shot to travel around the country. We got so good that I opened up for several acts all over from Chubby Checker to Kelly Clarkson. It gave a shot to be on MTV as a Blues Brother impersonator saying what videos we are playing next. I have been on several news stations from WGN to Channel 5 news. I left to play The Blues Brothers in Vegas and Florida, entertained on the Disney Cruise ship and the Bahamas, acted on some videos on MTV for Insane Clown Posse, and sung at the House of Blues with the actual Blues Brothers Band. I have owned and operated 3 Halloween stores, 3 restaurants, an out door Mini Golf place, Jimmy Jamz playhouse in St. Charles (which later became my DJ Name: Jimmy Jamz) and Land of Time both indoor amusement centers and my own DJ business in Illinois. After all this I have learned the art of entertaining and have the knowledge in all aspects of the entertaining business.
Base Enterprise is a small family business located in Marseilles Illinois and now also in Salem Missouri, We have been entertaining for over 30 years all over Illinois and since 2020 we have been entertaining in Missouri. We fell in love with Salem, Missouri so much we planted some roots there with alot of help from our friends in Salem we expanded not only in entertainment but we have an escape room, air bnbs, fun equipment rental and coming soon the Fun Food Experiment which is a fun food trailer selling ice cream, pretzels, shaved ice, snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn and so much more!

Our Wedding DJ & Entertainment Package represents the highest level of personalized service we offer, and takes your celebration to the next level of excitement… an unforgettable experience with the music, lights and magical effects of your choice.
Your Deluxe Reception is designed especially for you including all the features we have. This incredible Package includes a Master of Ceremonies and a Disc Jockey/Music Programmer for the most complete and interactive experience.
The absolute best way to assure the most memorable and fun Reception possible is to have two entertainers at your event. The dynamic of two performers makes a tremendous difference in the energy and excitement of your celebration. With two performers, your Master of Ceremonies will have all of his attention focused on the details and flow of your Reception, while the Disc Jockey/Music Programmer will focus on your music, requests and program changes as only our Disc Jockey can.
Your Master of Ceremonies will coordinate the entire evening including the introductions and announcements for the Bridal Party Entrance, the Bride and Groom’s Grand Entrance, the Bride and Groom’s First Dance, Father / Bride Dace, Prayer, Toasts, Specialty Dances, Cake Cutting, Bouquet and Garter Ceremonies and any other formality you wish to include.
Your MC will work closely with you and your Catering Manager, Photographer and Videographer to ensure that your Reception flows smoothly. Using an energetic and enthusiastic style of crowd motivation, your MC will keep all of your guests involved with easy to do dances and fun interactive activities. Your Disc Jockey is dedicated to program and play your favorite music and take requests, if you wish. Energy and excitement will be created for your dance floor with our special effect lighting, keeping the dance floor alive. Lighting is always included at no charge with this package.

Make your event extra special and fun by renting one of our foam cannons or foam machines. You can choose whether you want the foam to fall and fill the area or shoot our over 20 feet and fill that way. You can also add color to your foam (extra cost) for those color runs! Creates volumes of foam in an elevated position. Shoots Foam out 20-24ft. Covers 20x20 sq ft area 3 to 4 ft high depending on how many kids are in the foam area.
